KABUL (Pajhwok): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and ten militants have been killed during separate security operations in various parts of the country, the Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday.
The operations were conducted in Birmal district of southeastern Paktika, Maiwand district of southern Kandahar, Daimirdad of central Maidan Wardak and in some districts of eastern Kunar province, the ministry said in a statement.
Three ANA service members were lost to roadside bomb attacks during their operations in Nimroz and Paktia provinces, the statement said. It claimed a large amount of arms and explosives were seized.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the Defence Ministry’s statement that claimed 10 rebels were killed during the Afghan forces’ offensives.
