KABUL (Pajhwok): At least two policemen have been killed and three others wounded in a roadside bombing in the Syedabad district of central Maidan Wardak province, officials said on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast in Haftasyab area hit a police vehicle. The ill-fated pick-up was heading to Ghazni province.
Shafiq Nang, the Ghazni governor’s spokesman, confirmed the blast and said two policemen had been killed and three others injured.
Ahmad Fahim Qaim, the Maidan Wardak police chief, said five policemen were wounded when their vehicle which was struck by the roadside bomb.
