KABUL (Pajhwok): Election-related violence in different parts of the country left 10 people, including civilians, dead and several others wounded on Saturday, officials said.
Ghulam Jilani Farahi, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) director, told Pajhwok Afghan News two policemen were killed and four others, including an observer, wounded in a blast.
The explosion happened in Naukhez area on the outskirts of Qalat, the capital of Zabul. The explosion took place at a time when police were guarding a polling station for women.
In Bamyan province, a passenger vehicle overturned on its way to a polling centre, said Khudai Baz Ziarmal, the police chief.

Separately, Abdul Wahid Kandahari, the police chief for the Orgun in Paktika, said militants fired 15 missiles into the town but there had been no reports of casualties do far.
In Kapisa, four Taliban were killed when the bomb they were planting exploded prematurely, Governor Gen. Mehrabuddin Sapi said. Explosions and militant attacks were reported in Nangarhar, Kunar and Laghman provinces.
