A statement released by the Russian Embassy said Moscow had donated 500 shelter tents and tones of sugar, meat and other eatables. The aid had been sent via Mazar-e-Sharif that would be distributed later among the families of the affected areas.
The aid, the statement said would be handed over to departments concerned at Mazar-i-Sharif Airport in presence of Alexander Golovin, the Russian Council General in Mazar-e-Sharif, and officials of the Ministry of Rural Development and Reconstruction.
