KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Saturday said that 64 rebels and 11 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers had been killed in different security incidents in the past two days.
A statement from the MoD said that the incidents took place in Nuristan, Kabul, Ghor, Helmand and Kunduz provinces.
It said 64 rebels were killed, many wounded and seven others detained in a series of operations by Afghan security forces.
A large number of equipment, weapons, 178 bombs and 100 kilograms of drug were seized during the offensives.
Eleven ANA soldiers also lost their lives in separate roadside bombings during the operation.
