KABUL (Pajhwok): Leading a high-level delegation, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Friday left for Germany to attend the Munich security conference there, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
During his three-day visit, the statement said the president would address the Munich security conference to highlight regional and international security and Afghanistan policy.
Among others, Mohammad Hanif Atmar, the president’s advisor on national security and Salahuddin Rabbani, minister of foreign affairs, also accompanied the president.
The Munich international security conference is scheduled to kick-off today in Munich City and last for three days.
US Vice President Joe Biden, the NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg and other international figures would attend the conference.
