A statement from the US Department of State said that Higginbottom visited Kabul on February 4-5. The deputy secretary also met with justice, infrastructure, democracy, health implementing partners to discuss their challenges, achievements, and innovations.
In addition, he held a town hall at Embassy Kabul with Ambassador McKinley to speak directly with embassy staff about the importance of their work to US foreign policy goals in Afghanistan and to thank them for their hard work and sacrifices.
