KABUL (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on Monday said serious and hard efforts had been made to rescue the 31 passengers kidnapped in February in southern Zabul province.

The passengers were kidnapped on Feb 24 by masked gunmen in the Shahjoy district of Zabul province and their fate remains unknown despite a major operation to rescue them.

Presiding over a meeting of the Council of Ministers, Abdullah said the power utility had assured the restoration of power supply to Kabul until tomorrow.
