SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Officials on Saturday said the Amu River drinking water project would benefit 250,000 residents in five districts of northern Jawzjan province, if completed.
The project aims to supply drinking water through pipes to five districts from deep wells to be dug along the Amu River.
Jawzjan rural rehabilitation and development director, Eng. Mohammad Yusuf Saeed, said the project’s designing and paper work had been completed five years ago at a cost of $1 million.
He said the Ministry of Finance lacked budget to complete the project estimated to cost . . .
