MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Two security personnel were killed and four others wounded as a result of internal clash and a mortar attack in the Qaisar district of northwestern Faryab province, an official said on Sunday.
Maj. Sayed Juma, the district police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the firefight between special police units and intelligence agents took place due to a misunderstanding.
One special police unit official was killed and two others were wounded in the gunbattle, he said, adding that one of the wounded was in critical condition.
