The explosion occurred at around 3:00pm in the Sargardan Chowk in the Khost City, the provincial capital, in front of a shop, Police Chief Brig. Gen. Faizullah Ghairat told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Five persons, including two shopkeepers and a women and a child, were injured in the blast, he added.
But Dr. Malik Noor, director civil hospital, said six wounded had been brought to the hospital where they were in stable condition.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility . . .
