Deputy Education Director Wazir Ahmad Momand told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The principals of the schools had a joint meeting with Taliban. NDS operatives arrested them after they returned from the meeting.”
The schools were situated in areas under Taliban sway and they had meeting with militants to avoid any loss to schools, he said, adding that the principals could not be blamed for anything . . .
