HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Some residents on Thursday staged a protest rally in western Herat province and warned of blocking the main highway if word “Afghan” was not mentioned in the electronic ID cards.
After the Population Registration bill was passed by parliament last year and ratified by the president, some lawmakers, civil society and political groups started demanding the inclusion of word “Afghan” in the new ID cards.
