WASHINGTON (Pajhwok): The White House has strongly condemned Taliban attacks on the northern city of Kunduz while the Pentagon expressed confidence in Afghan security forces.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on Tuesday Afghan troops were starting to retake some buildings in the city, the capital of Kunduz province, and the United States was providing the Afghan government with advisory support.
"The United States strongly condemns the Taliban attacks in Kunduz. We stand with the Afghan people in our commitment to Afghan peace and security," Earnest said . . .
