AIBAK (Pajhwok): The High Peace Council (HPC) head for northern Samangan province has resigned and has been replaced by a member of the committee.
Mohammad Dawood Jalali, Samangan HPC secretary, told Pajhwok Afghan News Maulvi Khair Mohammad Sultani, 70, who had been heading the council over the past four years, resigned due to his old age.
Given the sensitive security situation in the country, he said, the Samangan HPC accepted his resignation and replaced him by Faqir . . .
