FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban on Wednesday claimed taking control of the Bala Baluk district of western Farah province, but local officials rejected the assertion as baseless.
Heavy clashes between security forces and militants have been ongoing for the past 10 days in Ganjabad and Shiwan areas, the district chief, Mullah Sayed Mohammad, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
