HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), the semi-government power distribution company, on Monday announced it had decided to increase electricity tariff with effect from next month due to the afghani’s depreciation against the American dollar.
DABS’s spokesman Wahid Tawhidi told Pajhwok Afghan News they had decided to increase the price of one kilowatt to five afghani because the company suffered losses during the past six months due to the increase in dollar value against the Afghan currency.
