KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Three Afghan Local Police (ALP) members and five Taliban Sahib district of northern Kunduz province, an official said on Wednesday.
The firefight erupted after the Taliban tried to storm police check-posts in Qarghan Tapa and Jovi Bigam localities, Amanuddin Quraishi, the town’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
On the other hand, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said ALP Commander Aziz Khalqi was among those killed during the attack. The remaining security officials had fled the area, he said.
