MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Local officials in northwestern Faryab province warn the Pashtonkot district, besieged by the Taliban, may fall if reinforcement are not sent to the town to aid the security forces.
Abdul Qadir, the town’s administrative chief, said at least 10 members of an uprising group had joined Taliban’s ranks after their check-post was overrun by the militants in Qaraq Egit area.
