KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban entered the Kandahar airport in labour uniforms and received weapons inside the facility, the police chief for the southern province claimed on Thursday.
“The Taliban might have got weapons from a dissolved security firm responsible for the security of the airport,” Gen. Abdul Raziq told Pajhwok Afghan News.
They security of the airport was strict enough and no one could enter it with weapons, he insisted, promising the outcome of investigations into the attack would be shared with media outlets.
