KABUL province, the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) announced on Sunday.
His appointment is based on a presidential number (1906), according to a brief statement from IDLG, which had proposed Khaze for the top provincial slot.
Three days back, ex-governor of Ghor Seema Joyenda said President Ashraf Ghani had appointed her as deputy governor of Kabul.
Ms. Joyenda, Afghanistan’s second woman governor, linked her removal to pressure from warlords, land-grabbers and some corrupt individuals.
The incoming Ghor governor belongs to western Herat province. Khaze was a key member of CEO Dr. Abdullah’s campaign team.
