KABU (Pajhwok): Turkish security forces have saved 69 Afghan migrants, trying to illegally cross into Europe, from drowning, a media report said on Tuesday.
A Turkish media outlet said the Afghans, who wanted to go to the Greek island of Chios, were rescued in the Izmir province of that country.
Turkish security forces came to the migrants’ rescue after the boat carrying them was wobbled by windstorms and choppy water.
At least 3,138 refugees have died crossing . . .
