KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan President Ashraf Ghani congratulated his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani on the lifting of international sanctions, his office said on Tuesday.
The lifting of sanctions came after US Secretary of State John Kerry issued a statement confirming the International Atomic Energy Agency has verified that Iran "has fully implemented its required commitments".
President Ghani called President Hassan Rouhani on Monday night and congratulated him on the removal of sanctions against his country.
