KABUL party on Tuesday asked the government to make policies for supporting and encouraging media organizations and ensuring their safety.
The council’s spokesman, Massoud Tarashtwal, supporting the freedom of speech, said the government should not stay neutral regarding crimes against media persons and their murderers and instead should take practical steps for their support.
The government should prepare specific and effective policies to support, encourage and protect media personnel, he said, adding such policies should be enforced in a timely manner.
