JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A journalist and cultural advisor to the governor has been gunned down in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.
Mohammad Zubair Khaksar, working for the government-run Nangarhar Radio and Television network, was shot dead in Surkhrod district on Friday night.
Attaullah Khogyani, the gubernatorial spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News, Khaksar came under attack in Moi Mubarak area at 9pm, when he was returning from a friend’s residence.
After being informed by residents, the security personnel arrived at the shooting scene and launched an investigation.
