GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A district police chief survived a suicide bomb attack that left eight people wounded in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province on Monday, officials said.
However, the Taliban claimed it was not a suicide attack, but a bomb blast carried out by local security forces to seek government’s privileges.
The town’s police chief, Col. Lutfullah Kamran, told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide attacker on a motorbike detonated his explosives at around 12.00 noon in the Gilan district centre.
