LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Afghan officials said on Wednesday that foreign troops’ assistance was needed in strengthening security and ending the conflict in southern Helmand province.
Bashir Ahmad Shakir, who heads security committee of the provincial council, said the continued violence in Helmand had worried residents.
He said foreign forces’ help was needed to bring the ongoing conflict in the province to a successful conclusion.
