RIYADH (Pajhwok): Saudi Arabi hosted a two-day international conference on Islam as a religion of peace and harmony in Riyadh.
The Saudi foreign ministry said the conference, organised by the Malak Saud University, was attended by scholars from 40 countries.
Renowned Saudi cleric Sheikh Abdul Aziz, in his remarks, said Islam is a religion of blessing and rejected violence and evils.
He added there was no concept of suicide bombings and terrorism in Islam, an ideology based on peace and brotherhood.
