KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday said the Special Forces had been sent to northern Baghlan province where ongoing operations against militants were crucial to breaking the siege of Kunduz province.
The president was talking to elders from Kunduz during the introduction of the new provincial governor at the Presidential Palace, a statement from the palace said.
The new governor, Asadullah Amarkhel, was introduced to delegates from Kunduz including religious scholars, public representatives and youth.
