KABUL Dominic Jermey CVO OBE on Saturday wished all the people of Afghanistan a happy Nawroz, the new Persian year set to be celebrated tomorrow.
“I am delighted to wish all the people of Afghanistan a happy Nawroz. Nawroz is a time of new beginnings, to look forward to the New Year with optimism. It’s also an occasion to reflect on the last 12 months as we prepare ourselves for the year ahead,” Jermey said in a statement issued by the British Embassy in Kabul.
