TALOQAN (Pajhwok): An Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander has been detained over alleged cooperation with Taliban militants in northeastern Takhar province, an official said on Thursday.
Maj. Abdul Khalil Asir, the provincial police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the ALP commander was detained in Darqad district on Wednesday.
The ALP commander was caught red-handed in Kokchi area supplying weapons and bullets to the rebels from Taloqan city, the provincial capital, to Darqad district.
