HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): More than 40 percent of government departments are being headed by acting officials in western Herat province, a public representative said on Tuesday, claiming people’s problems remained unaddressed.
The provincial council head, Kamran Alizai, told a press conference here that the unity government had been unable to replace the acting officials since coming into power one and a half years ago.
He said acting departmental heads could not resolve people’s problems and the residents of Herat wanted the government to resolve the issue forthwith.
