KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Construction work on a USAID-funded road and a bridge has been launched in the southeastern province of Khost, officials said on Saturday.
The seven kilometers road -- linking Khost City with Ghulam Khan dry port -- and the 120-metre bridge on ShamalRiver are being built at a cost of $3.5 million.
Governor Hukam Khan Habibi said financial support for the projects had been promised by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
