AIBAK (Pajhwok): A prayer leader has been shot dead by unidentified armed men in northwestern Samangan province, where two children were injured in a bomb blast, officials said on Saturday.
The imam from home last night when unknown gunmen opened fire at him in Ganbadan village of Firoz Nakhchir district, the district chief, Mohammad Humayun Barlas, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He identified the victim as Abdul Majeed, saying one of the policemen who arrived at the scene was injured during an exchange of fire with the attackers . . .
