District police chief killed, guards wounded in roadside bombing

KABUL (Pajhwok): A district police chief was killed in a roadside bombing in northern Balkh province on Wednesday morning, an official said.

Sholgara district police head Bismillahwas killed and three of his bodyguards were injured in the explosion, the police provincial spokesman said.

Col. Sher Jan Durrani added the vehicle Bismillah’swas travelling in struck a roadside mine. The police officer was his way to office.
