KABUL (Pajhwok): A $4 million contract was Wednesday awarded to an Italian firm for construction of the Bakhsh Abad Dam in Bala Buluk district of western Farah province.
The contract was signed between the Ministry of Water and Energy and Hydro Arch officials in the presence of President Ashraf Ghani at the Presidential Palace.
Water and Energy Minister Ali Ahmad Usmani said the contract worth $4.5 million included a detailed design of Bakhshabad Dam.
