Public Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz said at the handover ceremony the vehicles would be provided to health institutions in 16 provinces, including Kabul.
The minister praised UNICEF’s assistance to Afghanistan’s health sector, saying: “Today we have received 30 ambulances from UNICEF. The vehicles will be distributed to 16 provinces.”
He added the ambulances, each costing$32,000, had been purchased by the UN agency . . .
