KABUL CITY (Pajhwok): Besides humanitarian and other assistance, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) gives huge importance to the war against terrorism and extremism , a top Saudi diplomat has said.

Musfar Bin Abdul Rahman Al Ghasib expressed these views during a gathering on Monday night, marking the National Day of the kingdom here.

The government of Saudi Arabia, where the two holiest places of Muslims are situated, has just concluded the annual Hajj rituals successfully and celebrated its 86th National Day.

The gathering was organised at the residence of Saudi envoy in which Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah, Jihadi and political leaders, ministers, governors, parliamentarians and the Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HIA) delegation were present.

The Saudi envoy said King Shah Salman had diverted all his attention and resources to the services of the holliest places and Muslim ummah.

He said his country was fully involved in humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and was giving huge importance to the war on terror and actions against terrorist groups.

Al Ghasib said his country established Shah Salman Centre for humanitarian help and would continue to take effective part in bilateral and multilateral cooperation for regional and international peace and stability.

He said Riyadh valued its bilateral relations with Kabul and cooperated in different fields, including humanitarian assistance, aid and security, adding that they would continue to cooperate with Afghanistan on national and international level.
