JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The governor for eastern Nangarhar province, Salim Khan Kunduzi, resigned on Sunday at a major gathering in the provincial capital.
Addressing the gathering of hundreds of tribal elders, religious scholars, government officials, women and youth, Kunduzi said he couldn’t continue with his duty as governor, citing some personal issues.
He said the Nangarhar people had many demands from him in various fields and he had responded to their demands to some extent but not to the extent as should be.
