<p>JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A moneychanger was killed and a large amount of money looted by unidentified gunmen in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Thursday.</p>
<p>Provincial police spokesman, Col. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, told Pajhwok Afghan News the moneychanger was murdered near Sherin Plaza in Jalalabad in the morning.</p>
<p>He said unidentified gunmen opened fire on the moneychanger and wounded him. He was evacuated to hospital for treatment, the police spokesman added.</p>
<p>However, eyewitnessQari Faizullah said the moneychanger was killed in the incident and the attackers looted a million afghanis from him.</p>
<p>The governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, said the incident took place in the limits of the first police district. He identified the victim as Shidullah, 25. The killers managed to escape.</p>
