BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Hesa-i-Doyem Yakawlang was given the status of a new district of central Bamyan province on Monday, an official said.
GovernorMohammad Tahir Zuhair, addressing the inauguration ceremony for the district, said the new administrative unit had been created in response to demands from residents and recommendation of former vice-president Karim Khalili.
He promised the government would try to construct an office complex and two buildings for local schools besides opening a health.
