MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A boy and a girl have been killed by the girl’s relatives in northern Faryab province, an official said on Saturday.
Rahmatullah Qesari, the Qesari district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the couple had love affair and had eloped before they were gunned down on Friday night.
He said gunmen arrested the two and handed them over to the girl’s uncle, a prominent tribal elder in district.
Sayed Hafizullah Fitrat, the provincial human rights director, strongly condemned the incident and asked security offices to arrest all those involved.
