SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Local officials on Thursday said 24 Taliban militants and five security personnel had suffered casualties during offensives in northern Sar-i-Pul province.
Governor Mohammad Zahir Wahdattold Pajhwok Afghan News 11 militants had been killed and 13 others wounded in different parts of the province over the past 24 hours.
He said two security personnel were also killed and three others wounded during clashes.A machinegun expert of Taliban, Ikram, was among the militants killed, he added.
