SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Nearly 20 children of displaced families have lost their lives to extreme cold in the Darzab district of northwestern Jawzjan province, an official said on Thursday.
Hundreds of families, displaced by war from northern Sar-i-Pul province and remote parts of Darzab, have taken refuge in the district centre. They are faced with myriad problems.
