KABUL (Pajhwok): The Attorney General Office (AGO) office on Sunday it has begun an impartial and transparent investigation into alleged maltreatment of tribal elder Ahmad Khan Eshchi in northern Jawzjan province.
Eshchi, a former governor of Jawzjan and senior member of the Junbish Milli Islami Party, and his family had accused first Vice-President Abdul Rashid Dostum of keeping Eshchi in captivity for 16 days and beating and sexually abusing him.
