GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Drivers in southern Ghazni province say they are tortured by police and forced to pay money while transporting goods and services on highways.
A driver from Paktia-Ghazni highway Jan Mohammad told Pajhwok Afghan News that drivers were being tortured in several areas on the outskirts of Ghazni.
“Police have several times asked me for money on the outskirts of Andar district, an act they are not allowed to do so.”
He said the law enforcement officials would beat him if refused to pay money as per their desire.
