KABUL’s Day but only one lawmaker attended the session.
No female lawmaker was present at the session celebrating the Women’s International Day and from men, only Erfanullah Erfan, the deputy speaker, attended the session.
The Wolesi Jirga has 169 members including 67 female lawmakers.
Today’s session was organized by the house secretary. Two female lawmakers, Fawzia Kufi and Rubaba Parwani, were to address the meeting as part of the agenda.
