SHARANA (Pajhwok): Local education officials on Thursday said 13 schools, which had been closed due to insecurity, were reopened on the first day of the new academic year in southeastern Paktika province.
Provincial education director, Nasim Wajid, told Pajhwok Afghan News the schools had been shut for the past four years due to insecurity and other problems.
