KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Forty-eight girls have graduated from a two-year professional midwifery and nursing course in southeastern Khost province, officials said Thursday, hoping the graduates would help reduce mother-child mortality rate in remote areas.
Khost public health director Dr. Gul Mohammadin Mangal told the graduation ceremony that all those trained under the program were local residents of districts.
