GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Hunting of endangered wild animals and birds has lately gained momentum in southern Ghazni province, the provincial environment protection director said on Tuesday.
Shabir Ahmad Ahmadyar told Pajhwok Afghan News that poachers were merciless in hunting rarely found animals and birds in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, Nahoor, Ghaghatu, Qarah Bagh and Andar districts.
He blamed the hunting on people’s economic issues and warned if the illegal practice was not prevented, the endangered species could be poached into extinction.
